We start with the Brightlights variety and add more deep red and orange chard seeds to the mix. Chard plants will grow for most of the season if you harvest only the outside/bottom stalks and leaves. Chard is super nutritious… we recommend substituting chard for spinach in your recipes since it is easier to grow in the heat of the summer.
